The new CD "Crazy Love" from Florida-based duo Juniper, is now available for purchase on the internet at itunes and amazon in addition to other selected sites.
The Crazy Love CD is a good reflection of music that comes from within. The vocals, performed by Lisa, create a sultry yet powerful sauce of sass and sex. "Lisa's performance is unique to each song," adds Eve Adams of ACM Records, Inc., their publisher and label. "Each song has its own voice and delivers a genuine experience."
Juniper vows that the Crazy Love project will turn you on to their music! Songs like "You Rock My World" and "Crazy Love" could certainly help keep everyone active. "Well, it works for the private workouts too!" Ron says with a grin, "I personally test each song before release into the wild." Songs like "Run Away" and "This Is My Job" feature a dreamy piano, while "Without You" and "Rejected" sure make it fun to tell someone off!
While Ron and Lisa would say they relate to the common folk, it's evident they both have a bent for the crazy. Catsask.com recently reviewed the new CD and had this to say: "Looking to stand apart from the crowd, Juniper has hit the mark. Unique in their Alt-pop, Industrial groove genre, they've developed a sound that can be definitely called their own. Completely self produced Juniper is the real deal. Indie to the end!"

"When Bethany Yarrow and Rufus Cappadocia join forces on stage, watch out. The combination — or should that be combustion? — of their incredible talents sparks a fire-in-the-belly, soul-stirring experience with American folk music that lingers long after the concert ends. Bethany just happens to be the daughter of Peter Yarrow (of Peter, Paul and Mary fame)—and a powerful folk musician in her own right, able to re-invent the old songs and make them her own. Rufus started playing the cello as a three-year-old and has dared to go where few cellists have gone before—tapping into the heart of world music with the five-string electric cello he designed. Separately, they’re amazing. Together, they’re unbelievable." Third Thursday Coffeehouse
"Unbelievable!" is the word most used by audiences when first hearing Bethany & Rufus whose cello and voice duo breaks new musical ground, sliding with seamless ease between groove, jazz and a gritty, unvarnished approach to traditional folk music. With its often exuberant and sometimes achingly sad songs, their debut CD, "900 MILES" blends Bethany Yarrow's hauntingly beautiful yet explosively powerful voice with the mind-blowing, genre-bending cello playing of Rufus Cappadocia, pushing the boundaries of American roots music far into unexpected territory where intense groove meets sweet, heartbreaking soul.

MusicDishTV: Koko Dozo Live @ Tubway, NYC
On January 24, 2009, post-pop duo KOKO DOZO (Polarity/1 & Amy Douglas) brought their unique blend of funk/disco/dance music to Tubway in New York City. www.kokodozo.com
Koko Dozo's performance of "Boomchi" has a strong disco vibe and it is the perfect fit for the Tubway stage. Amy is on fire here with some really powerful singing (in Spanish, no less). A quick glimpse of the crowd shows that they are having a great time as well.
"Spaceman" is more of that familiar post-pop funk that Koko Dozo does so well. In this live performance, Polarity/1 is rocking the guitar while Amy sings her heart out. The song has a bit of an otherworldly vibe at times, but it is without a doubt another great jam for the party at Tubway. One thing is clear from watching both videos - Koko Dozo have a definite stage presence and know how to work a crowd!

KOKO DOZO truly is music for the Space Age. It's ultra modern and it's made using the latest technology and olde skool organic matter. Are other people out there in space? Who knows? Koko Dozo believes that such beings have been sitting around for billions of years waiting for the music to start. And Koko Dozo is bringing the party to the space persons. They're beaming up sound waves that vibrate in the key of GROOVE, dipped in the house special surreal sauce. Urban organica. Celestial demonica. Yeah...Space Is The Face.

New York's Post-Pop duo Koko Dozo will be bringing their unique version of 'Global Funktronica' to 'Nacotheque: NYC Holiday Fiesta,' being held at Fontana's on Saturday, February 28th. Nominated by PAPER magazine "Best New Party of 2007" and dubbed as "NYC's hottest indie rock party en español" by URB magazine, Nacotheque has become one of the most unique events in New York City's underground scene.

"Holy poop, B-52's reincarnated. Nevermind that they're still around. This thing I'm used to hear in early 90's to some intro to some crazy tv-show. How do you start making this kind of music? Seriously! Funk, boogie, soul, electro, space-thingy." Danger! Danger!
"New Yorkers looking for music that embraces their city's cultural diversity ought to check them out. The best way to survive in a melting pot is to get close." Gasper Oliviera, GBH.tv
Koko Dozo is a duo of legally alienated New Yorkers -- Polarity/1 and Amy Douglas -- who create a sound they call Global Funktronica: a unique blend of electronica, funk, club grooves, jazz and roots grooves from Brazil, Latin America and Africa. Their lyrics are hilarious, provocative, and powerful, sung in English, Spanish and Portuguese, supported by music that is truly otherworldly, rich, textural and extremely funky.

On "Linin' Track," Bethany Yarrow showcases more of her vocal range than before, to arrive at a great end result. She pours a lot of emotion into her words, switching between slightly gravelly low notes and soft and pleasant higher ones, singing with the power of Sarah McLachlan. Rufus Cappadocia's slick cello playing provides smooth bass undertones throughout the song and also demonstrates how good music can support a simple vocal structure like Bethany's, to make a song sound like it's grooving from start to finish.

Shulaced Entertainment artists and San Diego's hottest rap twosome, Dago Braves, today announce the release their second album KUMEYAAY COOL GUYZ (Shulaced Entertainment / City Hall) on iTunes, bringing rhymes straight from the Sycuan Reservation to the world. Dago Braves' songs hit every topic of the American life from every aspect. Being both African American and Native American, the duo express the struggles and advantages of being born between races. The music of Dago Braves reflect their life experiences by fusing the original native rhythms of the Kumeyaay Band of Sycuan Indians with the distinct hip hop beats of the San Diego rap scene.
The songs on KUMEYAAY COOL GUYZ hit on every part of cousins Terence "Poodeezy" Brown and Mike "Odoe" Allen, who make up Dago Braves, lives. Tracks like FLY CASINO and IMA BRAVE give Dago Braves' perspective on the pride of the Tribe's success and the celebrity of Casino life amidst the San Diego community. "Everyone has their hustle," says Terence "Poodeezy" Brown, one half of Dago Braves, "the casino is our hustle. It's what's bringing the tribal family back together. Until we had the casino the tribal family was spread in every direction just trying to get by. Now we're together and we're doing alright." Then, songs like TOO SOON get more personal, talking about the trials and tribulations of new relationships and the need to take a step back.
Dago Braves recently won the Native American Music Award for Best Rap Hip Hop Recording for their debut album NATIVE AMERICAN HUSTLE, which was released in 2007. "Having the respect of our community means more to us than anything. It is a huge honor for us and we're so thankful for the acknowledgement," says Mike "Odeo" Allen. Dago Braves worked with local producers including Da Batkave, Grimmie Recs, Steve Vicious and Dave Moss on NATIVE AMERICAN HUSTLE. Podeezy and Odoe want to continue to create music to represent San Diego and the Sycuan proudly, which is why they have again collaborated with San Diego's top talent, including Da Batkave, DJ Rek, J. Elliot Ness and Haze Banger, for KUMEYAAY COOL GUYZ.
Dago Braves are a tight knit and enterprising duo, creating their music family and record label with Sycuan Reservation-based Shulaced Entertainment. Shulaced Entertainment is developing several artists from within and around the Sycuan Reservation and the San Diego area, bringing life and an international voice to their artists' unique perspectives.
Dago Braves have played major shows throughout 2007 and 2008, sharing the stage with rap's biggest names including Baby Bash, Lil' Wayne, N.E.R.D., Pitbull, Tech N9ne, Young Jeezy, and many others. Visit http://myspace.com/shulaced for updated tour information and news.
