Tycoon Dynasty Entertainment announced the release of "So Faded," the debut single from rapper Face Black Rose. "So Faded" is the first track to be released from his upcoming EP "The Year Of The Rose". 

"Face Black Rose is different from other artists and albums of the same genre," noted manager Tracy B. of Tycoon Dynasty Entertainment. "Like many rappers, he writes his own lyrics based on his own personal life experiences, as well as the struggles of friends and family members. But that's where the comparison ends. His sound is quite unique; it's a merging of blues and techno with rap." 

A native New Yorker, Face Black Rose has an opinion about his music as well, "When my mother died, I had a lot of anger in me, and it scared me to a point where I knew I had to channel it in some way. Music helped me do that. That's why I feel people can relate to me – because just like all the greats – Sam Cook, Matilda Jackson, Biggie, 2Pac, Jay Z, and 50 cents – I put my heart on the line with my music. There is passion in every note I sing and every verse I rap."

Although his debut single is just being released, Face Black Rose is not new to the music scene. Performing for the last two years, he has worked with music industry veterans Ja Rule, News, Producer Boodah Monk, and Havoc from the Infamous Mobb Deep. 

"So Faded" is now available for purchase. The 10 track EP, "The Year of the Rose" is expected to debut around Spring of 2010 on the independent label Tycoon Dynasty Records.

Stephen Michael Apatow's latest track, "If You Loved Me," is an uplifting song that testifies to this artist's passion for humanitarianism and the grassroots fight against poverty. Swedish indie label Wonderland Records present electronic indie rock act Hearts of Black Science and offers free listening to the full album as well as free download of the single Gold & Dust.

Hearts of Black Science, based in Swedish Stenungsund (just outside Gothenburg) is Daniel Änghede and Tomas Almgren and they bring you powerful, suggestive indie rock with electronic influences. Think Danish Mew mixed with Keane and Depeche Mode but with a distinct personal touch.

The debut album was released on reknowned UK indie label AC30 and they did two shorter UK tours back in 06/07. Among the highlights of the tour were two live shows in the BBC6 studio in London.

Their new material is released on Swedish Wonderland Records, home of acts like Emmon, Convoj and Universal Poplab. 

The Hearts of Black Science live show at Trädgårn in Gothenburg on August 25th was recorded by Swedish national radio show P3 Live and was broadcast together with a Coldplay live show in September.

"Thorns On A Crown" is by far her most mature work to date. In the current etch and sketch environment of musicians singing to beats generated by machines, it is refreshing to find an artist who wholeheartedly exudes meaning and truth, a feat that only a genuine musician can accomplish. "1984" skillfully maneuvers its way from beginning to end as DeHaan puts her vocal range along with a knack for soothing tones to good use, singing in a soft, but gutsy manner. The guitar playing over a catchy beat works well with her voice to produce a sultry and graceful fusion of folk and rock.

2) Double Or Nothing
DeHaan produces a well-crafted, solid folk-rock tune with passionate delivery over a foot-tapping guitar melody in "Double Or Nothing." The sharpness of her lyrics and gritty tone gives the song a freshness That will keep any listener engaged, even after multiple plays.

NEW YORK, NY, November 5, 2009 - The premiere of REGA’s first music video, Wrap Mc’s took place in one of New York City’s hottest nightclubs on October 24th. After its debut, the innovative video has been earning the attention and acclaim of some of hip-hop’s most popular websites (datpiff.com, thatcrack.com, rabstudios.com/news). The opening evening, complete with Halloween-themed décor and the commanding live performance from REGA himself, has left a strong impression on all of the attendees, including famed celebrity jeweler, David Bling and successful entrepreneur Richard Adelaar (Hopewell Capital).

New World/Folk/Roots group The Bethany and Rufus Roots Quartet will be performing songs from their live 12 track CD "Live A Fip" at the New York's Joe's Pub at The Public Theater, one of New York City's most celebrated and in-demand showcase venues for live music and performance. The Roots Quartet includes the duo Bethany and Rufus (Bethany Yarrow and Rufus Cappadocia), along with Fulani flutist Yacouba "Denke Denke" and Afro Haitian drummer ‘Bonga’ Jean-Baptiste. "Live A Fip" was released in Europe on October 22nd as a co- production with Radio France and Daqui Records.

One reviewer describes "Live A Fip," as "like nothing you've ever heard before. Styles from everywhere and anywhere come together seamlessly. One hears distinctly Afro-Cuban rhythms pop under driving bass lines, folksy lyrics and screaming flute. "Death Don't Have No Mercy" is particularly characteristic of this mixing and meshing. The cello is inescapably funky, the bongos complexify the rhythms, the flute line seethes with fiery reverberance, and Bethany's vocals lament the world in a way that only American folk music can."

Bethany as the daughter of legendary 60's Folk singer Peter Yarrow (Peter , Paul & Mary) draws from the many songs that her father collected as part of the seminal folk movement of the 60s. Yacouba has dug deeply into the folkloric Hausa, Djerma, Peul and Songhai traditions of Niger and Bonga is the descendant of a very rich lineage of Vodou ceremonial drumming and song. Bonga has also traveled extensively through Haiti collecting and learning the different manifestations of Haitian song and folklore. Rufus has taken the cello into previously unknown realms and is noted for his collaborations in African, Arabic, and American music forms and also has a solo CD Songs for Cello on the Daqui label. Individually all of the members of the group have been instrumental in expanding the role of traditional forms in their respective musics. It is with this background that they have come together to create a sound that although based around the song forms of American traditional music reaches back to a common root that has inspired everyone involved.
